We just returned from a fabulous trip to Colorado! Our wonderful friend Dani just married our equally wonderful friend Scott and we were honored to not only be there as witnesses, but also as an attendant! The wedding was on Sunday, but we flew out last Wednesday to enjoy a little vacation too. Dani had some pictures of us hiking on her blog. Kaya was hiking in style (on Mike's back)! Dani and Scott's wedding was simply fabulous. She won't be back from her honeymoon for a few weeks so here are a few more pics to tide you over until then. Back From CO

Does anyone remember that I was knitting a cow toy for "tadpole"? Um yeah, apparently I'd forgotten too. I think two legs, a body, and a head are knit... it's just the arms and finishing touches... I should get on that.
In reality it will sit in my WIP pit, (I should show you a picture of that some time... it's not pretty), and I'll ogle these stuffed guys instead. Check out these cool knit toys!
I found them via the Knitted Toys KAL blog. Check out Shelly's finished snake!
Now I have to decide... mouse eating snake or cool ring things... both?
PS: For those asking, my Sockapalooza socks are indeed "Dublin Bay" and I've hit the heel flap for #2!Toys, Super Cool Toys!

Last night I took the night off from the cobbler's bench to knit! Yeah. I feel like it's been a while. I've been doing a round or two of my sockapalooza sock when the babies are calmly playing, but nap times have been for ironing and cutting and sewing, and evenings too!
I have a lot of projects that are half way done. Some never blogged about, some blogged about ages ago. Every once in a while I decide to put one as a top priority. I did that with my Divine Cardigan (click for pic) a few months ago. I knit one sleeve right away and even cast on for #2... and then it sat again until last week where I picked it up and got to the cap shaping... and then it sat again until last night where I knit it up and bound off! Woo hoo...
...of course I didn't have the other pieces with me to start seaming, but still, the main knitting is done! Now I just need to knit that big old ruffle. The pattern has you knit it as a separate strip and then seam it on, but instead I cast on provisionally and I'll pick up stitches up the edges to be able to knit it on. It will both be quicker to finished product, and I hope neater.
Any bets on when this sees the light of day again? My personal bet is September! I hope that I can get my act together to wear it this fall... I mean really, how much more time can it take?Night Off

I just haven't been bloggin'.
Honestly, I haven't been knitting much at all. I've been making shoes full time for my Etsy Store. I know, everyone's doing it, why not me! I'm having so much fun with the sewing and then there is always the cleaning and the laundry and the babies to play with that the knitting has been seeing very little time.
There is a Sockapalooza deadline looming though and my socks are coming along. This picture is from a few weeks ago. Kaya and I were out at the park with some little friends of ours and fell asleep in the stroller. I didn't want to wake her when we got home so I knit on the front steps as she slept. I'm always wanting to take pictures of my knits, of my shoes, of my baby, but never getting the right light, so when I saw how perfect the lighting was on the steps I had to run up and get the camera right away. (Don't worry, Naomi was watching Kaya!)
Can anyone identify the pattern? It's not such a hard question, but there are many patterns out there in blogland! (Hint:It's a free pattern.)I've been Paloozain'
