No Yarn Buying Nonsence

So, in response to all of you who are resisting stash enhancement, my mom sent me this last week.

Top Ten Reasons to Buy Yarn (as if you needed it)

  1. It's not illegal, immoral or fattening. It calms the nerves and gratifies the soul.
  2. I must buy it before my husband retires and goes with me on shopping trips.

  3. When the big earthquake comes, all the yarn stores will be swallowed into the ground and never seen again.
  4. I need the weight in the trunk of my car for traction on slippery roads.

  5. It keeps without refrigeration. You never have to cook it, feed, change, walk it or wipe its nose.

  6. I'm participating in a contest — she who dies with the most yarn wins.

  7. It's on sale.

  8. It’s less expensive and more fun than psychotherapy.

  9. It helps keep the economy going.

  10. It insulates the closet where it's kept.

I didn't do any stash enhancement over the weekend but I did buy two books. First was Knitting For Two. It's Erika Knight's newest book. Just for Melanie, here are some of my favorite designs. Here's hoping that you can use some of them soon.
