Bird thanks you for all of your sweet thoughts. He lived with us for a full week and just thrived. I wish I'd taken a picture when I first found him; we couldn't even tell what type of bird he was and by yesterday morning he looked so feathery and healthy! He was like a different bird. He got to be very affectionate with me and would come when called and flew to me whenever he saw me. I could tell when the upstairs neighbor was out because he'd have a totally different conversational tone. As much work as it was, and how much of a pain it was to feed him SO FREQUENTLY, I really liked that little guy. I woke up yesterday morning, and fed him like usual, and that was the last I heard of him. He'd been hopping all over and flying a little for the few days leading up to then, and finally got enough strength to fly away. Good luck little guy, we'll miss you in a "We're so glad you are gone" kind of way.Birdy Flew Away Home
