Do 2 Pairs of Booties Equal 1 Pair of Socks?

Here we are, last day of June, last month of Sock A Month KAL and I've got nothin'... well, that's not quite true.

I've been knitting a pair of very nice Koigu socks for Mike. They might have actually been finished by today if I hadn't left them at work on Wednesday and wasn't able to retrieve them until Friday.

I finished the first Mock Mock Croc Sock, and even cast on for number 2, but we know that doesn't count as a finished pair.

What I have knit are two pairs of baby booties. They used sock yarn, they used sock needles (so I couldn't knit Koigu sock #2), they go on feet. Can I get a two sets of booties count as one pair of socks deal? Maybe?

These will be hanging around here waiting for the winter arrival of Tadpole! ...it seems to be time to get back to those baby knits... don't you think?
